Woman Tasered After Trying To Buy Too Many iPhones

Nashua stores, New Hampshire, witnessed an unusual incident last week when Xiaojie Li, a Chinese foreigner was tasered after trying to purchase too many iPhones. Yes, indeed! After Li came back to purchase more phones she was asked to leave the store for breaking the new Apple’s policy! Well, do you remember when companies were doing their best and spending tons on marketing to encourage people to buy more of their merchandise? Apparently, these days, buying more than 2 iPhones became a crime in the United States, a law-breaking especially after the new rule executed by Apple late October.

What is the story behind the arrest of the Chinese buyer? Well, as you all shall recall, near late October, Apple applied a new iPhone rule in the United States stating that a person is only allowed to purchase 2 iPhones, not more. The main reason behind this unexpected decision was to limit the illegal online sellers and to ensure, at the same time, that everyone is still allowed to purchase one device for himself. So, in general, by taking this decision, they cut any chance of a high selling percentage and took the risk of having their stock piling up.

Lately, Apple has moderated her new policy a little it seems that it has probably restricted buyers to 5 iPhones per person but no one was able to get an official statement from any Apple representative. This change could have a direct link to the holiday seasons and the company’s desire to control her stock.

So due to this restriction policy, the poor woman, Xiaojie Li ,wanting to buy more than two devices, has been literally tasered and dragged out of the store when she refused to leave. Li was accused of being an unauthorized seller for trying to acquire more than two iPhones which she claims offering to her family back in China.

This whole commotion generated a flow of rude criticism towards the police and Apple itself. The first question that pops into our minds is how would a similar headline be taken in China? Well it will probably strike! A Chinese person arrested for acquiring more than two iPhones will not be well taken in the country who manufactures these mentioned phones. Let’s just hope that, after this fuss produced at Nashua by the police and indirectly Apple, the mentioned company will have in fact changed her policy.
