PayPal in Bangladesh – Coming Real Soon! (Updated)

As per the ITC specialist Sajeeb Wazed Joy, who is the son of current Prime Minister of Bangladesh, PayPal in Bangladesh is coming real soon.To solve the money transferring system of the Freelancers in Bangladesh, PayPal is going to start within a very short time in Bangladesh.Now this is only time to wait for PayPal to start their activities in Bangladesh.In a conference organized by “Digital World 2012” about the “Freelancers”,Joy told this about PayPal.

Though a lot of young people in Bangladesh are already doing a lot of Freelancing job but still there is no PayPal operation in Bangladesh.Which is making a big problem to transfer the money from outside and the freelancers are facing a lot of problem.

But Joy told that before that the banking network in Bangladesh was analog.But now it is digital and e-money transfer is not that difficult right now.Now Bangladesh Bank which is the central bank of Bangladesh is digitalized and now e-money transfer is possible.

So, according to him all the functionality is achieved and if PayPal wants they can start their service right now.So, now it is time only to wait for PayPal to start their function in Bangladesh.May be in the next year 2013, PayPal will start their work and functionality in Bangladesh, which is a big news for the freelancers in Bangladesh.

The vice-president of Odesk, Mat Kooper, Freelancer vice president David Harrison was also present in that conference.Total around 1000 people were present in that meeting.

The latest update is that from May, 2013 PayPal is going to start their operation in Bangladesh. As per Finance Minister Abul Mal Abdul Muhit PayPal is going to start their operation in Bangladesh within next one and half month. On 5th April, 2013 while inaugurating  the Sylhet Trade Fair through one Video Conference he announced this. This news was also published in one popular online newspaper named Bdnews24.
