Last Thursday, Microsoft denied the claims stating that there is a privacy risk in Internet Explorer. News that could be threatening to most people, especially what the claim leak mentioned about the possible theft of our passwords and pins if hackers were to manage monitoring our own computers.

The claim mentioned that a system weakness in Internet Explorer versions 6 to 10 could make it possible for hackers to control the movements of our mouse and find out the position of our mouse cursor. Based on the statement of a UK-based web analytics firm, this vulnerability will allow canny thieves to capture our passwords and pins if they were virtually typed.

Microsoft rejected these claims and stated that the company publishing this news aims to put her competitors in an embarrassing situation.

Nevertheless, Microsoft declared contacting firms that are using the information leak as part of their ad-tracking measures. Apparently, Microsoft does regard this matter as a small problem that could be fixed in a way or another.

Microsoft and Spider io’s conflict over that story has worried the users on Internet Explorer and they are all expecting further promises that this whole issue won’t affect their personal and business life. Analyzing what Spider io. has stated, a stolen password or pin is in fact a huge problem that lies within this small issue. In fact, this small sentence we choose or this code we pick helps us protect our accounts from being hacked; once discovered our personal information could be improperly used starting from the simplest one as a family picture to a way more important matter as a bank account number or a credit card number.  How many private material have you saved on your email account, maybe business recipes, business plans, projects that you want to keep for yourself for the time being. What about all the family pictures you have stored on social networks? If a password can be hacked then what is the use of all the privacy settings.

Online privacy is crucial to each and every one of us and even if the leaks are no more than claims and a strategy to humiliate competitors but Microsoft owes her users further and detailed explanation and should post solid arguments proving that no harm could come from using Internet Explorer versions 6 to 10.

All those interested in that news, should monitor Microsoft stated actions to learn more about the claimed issue.
