The mobile phone is a device, which will allow the users to interact with other peoples. Users can make and receive calls, text messages over the radio link using the cellular network and the network could be provided by mobile phone operator. The cell phone is the other name of mobile phone.

A basic mobile phone has very common components battery, keypad. The battery can be used as a power source for the cell phone functions. The keypad can be used as an input for the phone operations like typing and selection of options. The touch screen also one other mechanism instead of a keypad.

 About Mobile Networks and Technology:

Mobile phones can be operated by different network technologies such as 2G, 3G and 4G. 2G is the second generation wireless technology where the phone conversations were digitally encrypted data services also introduced in this 2G technology. 3G is the third generation wireless technology, has applications like video calls, mobile internet  and mobile TV. 4G fourth generation has been providing mobile ultra broadband internet access. Present smart phones are using 4G network only.

 Modern Mobile Phones:

The modern mobiles have many features like camera, internet access, mms, email, gaming and many more features. Users can run various apps on current and featured mobiles which can be operated by the owner of operating system such as app store, windows phone store, blackberry and Google play.

By the end of 2012 Samsung mobiles gain the highest market share over the world in mobile sales and Samsung has been followed by Nokia, Apple, ZTE, LG and others in the queue. These are the top five worldwide total mobile phone vendors. Other vendors are Research In Motion Ltd.  (RIM), HTC, Motorola, Sony Ericsson, Micromax, Huawei and many more in the market.

Over 7 billion people are using mobile phones worldwide. As per the statistics, China India and United States captured the ranks first, second and third in the list of countries by number of mobile phones in use. The stats told 9 out of 10 people have a mobile in the US. 2011 is the greatest revolution for big mobiles such as Apple and Android phones.

 Advantages of Mobiles Phones:

Mobile shopping is very easy now a days and have many advantages, these can be used for a variety of purposes. Includes keeping in touch with family, business, social activities and much more. The United Nations reported that mobile phones are spreading faster than all other technologies in developing countries. By using mobile people are improving their lifestyle mainly in less developed countries. These are very popular, why because its providing and passing information between two and many persons where the land-lines and internet are not available in the world.
