How to Get Awesome Traffic Analysis from Hostgator cPanel?

Well, you have heard the name of Google analytics, SlimStat WordPress plugin or may be the name of some other tools for traffic analysis for your blog or website. But I have found Hostgator cPanel an awesome place to get an awesome traffic analysis. This is one of the reasons to choose HostGator as my web hosting service provider. You do not have to spend any extra effort to get the traffic analysis from HostGator cPanel. I will explain in this article about how to get awesome traffic analysis from HostGator cPanel.

Step-by-step Guide to Get Awesome Traffic Analysis from HostGator cPanel:

Those who are using HostGator as their hosting company, only they are allowed to get the traffic analysis. Cause you need a username and password to log in to your cPanel and then only you can access the traffic analysis from HostGator cPanel. If you want to use HostGator as your future web hosting company, you can sign up for HostGator web hosting hereIf you are just starting your blog, the hatching plan is good for you, if you want to host multiple domain (for multiple blogs or website) baby plan is suitable for you and for medium to large online business, the business plan is suitable. 

Now, to check the traffic statistics:

Step 1:

Go to your HostGator cPanel by logging in to your HostGator account. You will get the below window:

You will have to click on “View all Traffic” tab and you will get the window like below:

Clicking on the view button, you will get the Traffic analysis tab which is do detail and you would love to get the detail statistics from this tab.

Analysis of My Blog Traffic from HostGator cPanel:

The above picture is the summary of the traffic analysis of my blog for the month of Mar, 2016. You can change the month in the drop down menu of reported period.

Here, from the above picture you can see the number of visits I had in the month of March is 16,189 which is decent for my technology blog. The number of unique visitors I had in that month is 5,832.So, each unique visitor in my blog visited 2.77 pages of my blog. I really want to increase this parameter. I want to increase this as 5. You can also check the other parameters like the pages and hist the visitors visited.

If you wan to have an analysis of month by month you will get that one also. If you want to get what are the external sites that provide you the visitors to your blog, just click on the Referring Sites button on the left side bar and you will get a full report. For my site the analysis is below:

From the above report, you can see Wikipedia was my top referrer. Wikipedia had sent 36 traffics to my blog last month. The most important thing is the traffic are targeted traffic.

Key Words and Key Phrases:

If you are curious about the key words and key phrases that visitors used and then came to your site, then simply click on the “Search Keyphrases or Search Key Words” tab and you will get one window with all the keywords listing in the page. For my case the list is below:

From the above picture, you can see which keyword got how many search in that particular month. For privacy reason I have erased the keywords.

this is funny,,, i have been using hostgator for long, never noticed this option,though i know a lot other tools to analyse traffic
