First of all i want to wish all my foreign friends “Happy Bengali New Year 1420” in advance. In Bengali it is said as “Shuvo Noboborsho” (শুভ নববর্ষ ). Every year 14 th April is the Bengali New Year and it is celebrated by all the Bengali People all round the globe. Mainly this is celebrated in Bangladesh and in the West Bengal in India. In West Bengal it is celebrated in 15th April, just after one day the people from Bangladesh celebrate it. Check for Bangla Noboborsho Wallpaper 1423.

As a citizen of Bangladesh i am also going to celebrate it in Taiwan with my friends and family. Though this is not something very much related to technology but just to share my feelings i am posting this article and going to tell something about the day of Bengali new year. I am also going to post some beautiful wallpaper and greetings of “Bengali New Year” which is for the Bengali new year 1420 and you are allowed to use it from here.

How it is Celebrated?

People from Bangladesh celebrate this Bengali new year with a great interest. The female wear “Saree” (Jamdai Sarees are the most preferable one!) and male wear “Panjabi” or “Kurta” on this very occassion. From the early morning people gather in a place where all are ready to sing a song by poet Rabindra Nath Tagore and the song is “Eso Hey Boishakh Eso Eso”.

In capital Dhaka, people gather in a park from the early morning and the park is named as “Ramna Park”, under a old Banyan Tree a bunch of professional singer from a specific organization who practice Rabindra Sangeet (songs by Rabindra Nath Tagore) gather together and sing the song “Eso Hey Boishakh Eso Eso”!

People start their day by eating a special kind of food and which is rice with water (called as panta vaat!) and Ilsha Fish Fry with Green Chili.

Then a big rally walks through the main roads of the city which starts from Dhaka University. Man and Woman of all age gather in the Ramna Park Area and Shahbag Chattar and near Dhaka University.
