Bijoya Doshomi is the last day of this Durga Puja. Maa durga is the symbol of the winning power against the evil.

Bijaya Dashami is the 10th Lunar Day of the Hindu Calender month. Hindu people believe that on that day the Goddess Durga ma got the victory over the evil Mahisashur. The name Bijaya-Dashami is taken from Sanskrit which means the Bijaya > victory and Dashami> 10th, so the victory on the 10th Day of the Lunar Hindu Calender.

On the same day, the Lord Rama got the victory over the demon Ravan who had ten heads. Those 10 heads represents ten bad qualities of human which are :

  1. Kama vasana (Lust)

  7. Swartha (Selfishness)
  8. Anyaaya (Injustice)
  9. Amanavta (Cruelty)
