May be you have tried to create filer in Gmail account but you were unable to do it because you do not know how to create the filter in Gmail.That is why i am writing the post to know you how to create a filer in Gmail account.
For those readers who are thinking that why to create filter in gmail is necessary, i want to tell them that a filter option diverts all mails from one source in a specific folder.This will let you know easily whether you have got mail from that particular sender or not.Also you will be able to avoid email from those source from whom you do not want to get an email in your inbox.
Now, please follow the below steps to create a filter in your gmail account:
1. Log in to your Gmail account and click on any mail in your inbox.Above the mail you will get one option which says “Move to”.Click on “Move to” and you will get options below named “Manage Labels”.Now click on “Manage Labels”:
2. Now click on “Manage Labels” and you will get one option named as “Filters” and now click on “Create a new filter” and you will get a screen like below:
Now in the from field put the email address from which sender you need to create the filer.In the “TO” tab write your email address.Put any subject if the sender sends you the email with a special “subject” now after filling all the field you will see that the screen is asking for “Create Filter withe this search”.Now click on it and you will get the below screen:
Now apply a level in which you need you mail to be stored.
3. Now click on “Create Filter” and you are done!
In the above way you can create filter in you gmail account.This will help you to track the mail from a specific sender.
