1. You need to download the software from here Vitamin D. Yes, you are right.The name of the software is Vitamin D.You will get a free version in the above mentioned download link.The software is available for both Windows and Mac OS.So, those who are having MAC operating system no need to get worried.You just need to put your email address and in the second step you will be able to download the software.
2. Then when the download completes install it just by double clicking on it.
3. While installing, you will get one option to to set up the camera settings.If the webcam is a built in camera then you need to select it from drop down menu.If you do not know the manufactures of the webcam then just select others.The webcam settings will be like below:
As i set up in my own laptop and the webcam is built in so i selected the option as “built-in” and also selected the manufacturer as “others”.
4. If everything is “Ok” then you will be able to see image in the window and then you need to click “Next” just like below picture:
5. After that you will get one blank box where you will be able to put a name of your camera.You can give any name as you wish.
6. Now you will be able to customize your setting from the rule editor.You can put your email address if you want to get an email when any object is detected or you can set up sound when any object is detected.
When any object will get detected by the camera, you will be able to hear one sound and also the video will get stored in your computer.So, if any object is detected by the webcame, you will be able to see this later when you want.
