Until now people had to install complicated shared networks, and even then they were connection-compatibility issues. Now you can access every computer in the world using nothing more than your Facebook page. The setting-up and installation of this program is easy, fast and intuitive. The whole process won;t take you more than a few minutes. There are still a lot of things that can be integrated into the software’s framework, but I will let you decide how well it gets the job done. Let’s have a look.

The first step is choosing the right friend to share computer screen with a Facebook friend. Preferably he should be a trustworthy individual, that wont take advantage of the opportunity to do malevolent deeds while having control over your computer.  You friend should also be online, or else you would have to wait until he get online, otherwise it wont work.

You can either share you screen (in which case it will be your friend who will have access to your computer) or your friend can share his. Like all shared Facebook apps, you will need to accpet a request in order to use the program.

You can do this from the Facebook apps store. Go to the Desktop app page and click on the “go to App’ button. You must agree on their Privacy Policy, after which you must clock “Start deskhopping’. Your friend will get the same notification as well. You will be redirected to a download page where you will download Deskhop to your computer. The app will automatically be added and installed on your hard-drive. Note that when you stop using the program, it will automatically delete itself. This means that you must repeat the process each time you are using it.

After the installation has finished, there will be a page asking you to wait until your friend has connected as well. Once your friend is connected, you should see his screen and he should see yours (depending on which option you have chosen).

You can disconnect any time you choose (but know that as soon as you do, the program will automatically uninstall itself from your drive).

This program can be used to help a friend with a school assignment/work project. Also, you can monitor your child’s activity and see what going on while you are at work. For example if you are a busy investment banker without much time on his hands, having access to your firm’s computers from basically every part of the world, is more than convenient.
